2:36 p.m.: The Exact Time We Lose Energy at Work
Do you sometimes have a time in the day when you feel like you could just put your head on the desk and sleep? A moment when you feel like all the energy has left your body, and doing work is almost impossible?

We might call this a "slump." It may not last very long, but you'll know when you're having one!

And according to a survey from the UK, there's an exact time when people most typically have a slump: 2:36 p.m.

That's right: a little after lunch is the most common time for people in the UK to feel that loss of energy.

However, the survey of 2,000 people also found that, on average, people actually have three of these slumps a day.

Thirty-four percent of people have had a slump while driving, and 12% said they have even fallen asleep during a meeting. And around 21% of people said they have cried during a slump.

More than 1 in 10 people said they had felt their first slump before 9 a.m.!

Not getting enough sleep was found to be the most common reason for a slump, followed by not drinking enough water, not exercising and not eating the right foods.

So what do people do when they feel they are losing their energy?

More than one third said they drink coffee, while 37% go for a walk outside — which is something experts say is a good idea.
Others put water on their face, while some also speak to their doctor.
